Steven S. Clark, Ph.D., a former professor and medical researcher at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, provides consulting and other services for investors and biotechnology companies.

With a successful 15+ year track record as a researcher and educator at the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center, Steve’s true talents lie in biomedical research, teaching, speaking, writing and technical analysis. He is adept at developing and leading biomedical research programs, communicating complicated technical information to various audiences and for bringing people together in order to develop strategic relationships that enable biotechnology to move forward.
Currently, through BioScience Consultants, LLC, which is based in Madison, WI, Steve consults for investors interested in early-stage biotechnology companies. He provides timely market research and helps investors understand the strengths and risks of emerging biotechnology so that wise investment decisions can be made.
Steve also assists biotechnology companies by providing objective evaluation of new technologies and ideas, helping them apply for grant funding, developing presentations for investors and symposia and other scientific liaison services.
Steve can uniquely provide ongoing analysis of biotechnology markets and science so that investors and companies can be prepared to quickly respond to changes in the field.
Steve also serves as Chief Science Officer of Wisconsin Business Partnerships, LLC, a company formed in 2008 to provide business, finance, marketing and technology expertise to investors and emerging technology companies. WBP develops and promotes partnerships between investors and promising technologies.
Finally, Steve is a freelance writer on topics related to biotechnology. He writes a regular column, BioTech Takes, for the Wisconsin Technology Network News and often contributes commentary to other newspapers and journals.
Steve’s energy and passion for communicating an appreciation of modern science is evident in his writing and speaking on topics related to current biotechnology issues. He also helps tutor math and science for people working on their GED and HSED degrees. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Nehemiah Community Development Foundation.
